Koru Art 1

As part of our current topic about culture, we have looked at some art from around the world. We have been learning about different types of koru art and its importance in New Zealand culture. This art was simply done using pencils and crayons. We had plenty of practice at drawing different koru shapes before designing our finished drawings. We were able to use what we have been learning in maths about patterns, as well as what we learned earlier in the year about symmetry and rotations, to help us plan our borders.
