Symmetry

We have been learning about symmetry in maths. We worked in pairs and made symmetrical pictures using foam shapes. Each pair had a line of symmetry. One person started by placing shapes on one side of the line and the other person mirrored the shapes on the other side of the line.

Assembly Item

We will be performing our Irish song and Irish dance at the school assembly on Tuesday. We will be doing the dancing together with our buddy class, room 1. You are welcome to come and see us. We are very excited!

Shapes

We have been learning about shapes in maths and we decided to make shape pictures to plan our writing. We think they are really cool!

Feet First Poems

The title of our current topic is "Feet First". We read the poem "Feet" and decided to add some of our own verses to it. We were learning to choose words that make our writing interesting. We also traced around our own feet, cut them out, decorated them and glued them onto our publishing. We made up actions to go with our own verses, too and we had a lot of fun acting them out in class!
